The climate in Saint Petersburg is best described as maritime which means it is actually a lot warmer than many people think or expect.

The Smolny Ensamble:
This mesmerizing ensembles is made up of a number of different structures and building that were all built and put together at different times. Located on the Neva bank and opposite the Nienxhanz Fortress it really doesn’t get much better than this.
The Peter and Paul Fortress:
This world famous fortress is located right in the heart of Saint Petersburg, and was originally built in order to hold onto the Neva area that was taken from Sweden throughout the Northern War.
The Summer Gardens:
These beautiful gardens have been around for almost as long as the city itself, but you wouldn’t know it by taking in all the wonder and natural beauty that they are composed of. Here you will see a variety of trees, columns, flowers, and statues brought in from all over Europe.
