Dublin Castle Proudly standing in Christ Church which is the oldest area in the city, the castle was originally built to serve as a defensive structure in the early 13th century. Kilmainham Gaol If you are looking to know more about the history of the city, this would be the best place to start. Located in Inchicore, Kilmainham Gaol was a prison where many Republican and Nationalist leaders and famous Irish personalities were imprisoned and executed including James Connolly. Charles Stuart Parnell and Eamonn De Valera, who was the third president of Ireland.
Guinness Storehouse Taking a tour of this museum should definitely be included in your trip itinerary, as it would give you an insight to the interesting process of how Guinness beer is made and brewed.
Dublin Zoo Located in Phoenix Park in the western area of the city, the Dublin Zoo is the largest zoo in Ireland. It is home to more than 235 various animal and bird species.
